چکیده

Abstract 3D modelling of man-made objects is widely used in the cultural heritage sector, among others. It relevant for its documentation, dissemination and preservation. Related to historical fabrics, weaves weaving techniques are still mostly represented forms 2D graphics textual descriptions. However, complex geometries difficult represent such forms, hindering way this legacy transmitted new generations. In paper, we present design implementation SILKNOW’s Virtual Loom, an interactive tool aimed document, preserve silk dating from 15th 19th centuries. To that end, our only requires image a fabric. Departing image, automatically subtracts design, allows user apply different techniques. current version, embeds five traditional techniques, 39 six types yarns, which have been defined thanks close collaboration experts computer graphics, art history fabrics. Additionally, users can change color yarns produce representations given fabric, real time. bring details tool, focusing on input data, strategy process images, definition graphical interface. results section, show some examples analysis order subtract then provide all considered combining yarns.

3D Interactive Virtual Angioscopy

In this paper, we present a system for interactive explorations of extraand intracranial blood vessels. Starting with a stack of images from rotation angiography, we apply virtual clips to limit the segmentation of the vessel tree to the parts the neuroradiologists are interested in. Furthermore, methods of interactive virtual endoscopy are applied in order to provide an interior view of the bl...

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...

Interactive 3D Visualization for Theoretical Virtual Observatories

Virtual Observatories (VOs) are online hubs of scientific knowledge. They encompass a collection of platforms dedicated to the storage and dissemination of astronomical data, from simple data archives to e-research platforms offering advanced tools for data exploration and analysis. Whilst the more mature platforms within VOs primarily serve the observational community, there are also services ...

Virtual Actors’ Behaviour for 3D Interactive Storytelling

In this paper, we describe a method for implementing intelligent behaviour for artificial actors in the context of interactive storytelling. We have developed a fully implemented prototype based on the UnrealTM game engine and carried experiments with a simple sitcom-like scenario. We discuss the central role of artificial actors in interactive storytelling and how real-time generation of their...
